Job summary

Jones Engineering in Cork is seeking an Electrical Estimator to join our estimating team at the Little Island office. You will tender on large-scale projects, from initial take-offs to final bids, in collaboration with the Bid Manager and a multidisciplinary team.

You will prepare LV, MV and HV tender packages, liaise with stakeholders, and use estimating software. A strong grasp of electrical systems and planning is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy or Construction Management.
• Trade background may be considered.
• Experience in construction/engineering/utilities is advantageous.
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Strong organisational and planning abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Commitment to continuous learning and development.

Responsibilities

• Tendering on large-scale projects across multiple sectors.
• Manage full tender process from start to finish.
• Prepare Electrical LV, MV & HV tender packages.
• Liaise with parties on an ongoing basis.
• Attend pre and post tender interviews.
• Assemble sub-contract quotes complying with the spec.
• Attend internal and client meetings as required.
• Create take-offs from tender drawings.
• Utilise estimating software packages.
