Job summary

Jones Engineering in Maynooth is seeking an Electrical Estimator to support the estimating manager and project team in delivering cutting-edge electrical projects. You will manage tendering from start to finish, gather take-offs, assemble sub-contractor quotes, and liaise with internal and client teams.

A degree in engineering and 5+ years in estimating with high-value tenders are required; experience with data centre projects is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Degree in an engineering discipline.
• Trade background would be advantageous.
• Experience on data centre projects advantageous.
• 5+ years in estimating with high-value tendering.

Responsibilities

• Tendering on large-scale projects across industries.
• Involved in full tender process from start to finish.
• Liaising with relevant parties on an ongoing basis.
• Informing managers of bid prospects.
• Attending pre- and post-tender interviews.
• Assemble sub-contractor quotes to meet specs.
• Attend internal and client meetings as required.
• Complete take-offs from tender drawings.
