Job summary

Glanua Limited requires an Electrical Design Engineer for on-site work in Loughrea, Co. Galway, Ireland. The role focuses on delivering electrical design outputs across disciplines with a strong emphasis on safety, sustainability and quality.

The position offers a permanent full-time contract with a negotiable salary and opportunities to work on diverse projects within the water sector. Excellent team support and development are provided.

Qualifications

• Level 7/8 Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience, preferably in the Water & Wastewater sector.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent planning, organisational, training, teamwork and presentation skills.
• Excellent literacy, numeric and IT skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Autodesk packages.
• Working knowledge of Trimble ProDesign (Amtech) or ETAP calculation software.
• Full Clean driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health, Safety, Environmental, Sustainability & Quality standards, policies and procedures are developed into all designs and design outputs.
• Work collaboratively with other engineering disciplines to ensure an optimum design solution is reached.
• Report to the Electrical Department Manager; compilation and review of site surveys and condition reports.
• Procurement and management of LV and MV packages; handover to site delivery teams.
• Provide robust handover and tender support; promote off-site manufacturing and sustainable design approaches.
