Job summary

Anord Mardix in Dundalk, Ireland, is seeking a graduate Electrical Design Engineer to design switchgear and power distribution products. You will use AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical to produce general arrangements, schematics, and detailed records while collaborating with multiple disciplines during the product lifecycle.

You will participate in technical support, maintain design documentation, and work under senior engineers to develop your skills in a fast-paced, global power infrastructure

Qualifications

• Third level qualification in Electrical Engineering.
• Relevant experience in a switchgear production environment will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Solid understanding of electricity fundamentals and electrical circuit design.

Responsibilities

• Under mentorship, carry out electrical design of switchgear and related products.
• Create general arrangements and electrical schematics using AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical.
• Generate accurate bills of materials and supporting docs such as work instructions.
• Maintain up-to-date records of designs and documentation.
• Provide technical support to internal and external customers; attend meetings as needed.
• Collaborate with engineering peers to foster a positive team environment.
