Job summary

Flex is seeking a Project Engineer in Dundalk, Ireland, to join the Operations team. You will coordinate engineering activities spanning Sales, Design, Procurement, Projects and Production for LV/MV switches, busduct, and modular solutions.

Join a team focused on delivering safe, on-time project execution, liaising with clients and internal teams to translate tenders into deliverable designs, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and customer requirements.

Qualifications

• 3rd Level or Electrical trade qualification is required.
• Experience: 3+ years in electrical manufacturing (LV/MV Switchgear, Busduct, UPS).
• Familiarity with BS/IEC standards for switchgear and control gear assemblies.
• Energy management, PLC and automation experience are beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Engineering activities from Sales through to Fabrication, Manufacturing, Procurement, Projects and Site teams.
• Provide technical guidance during tender submissions and ensure design compliance with standards.
• Turn successful tenders into deliverable designs and review designs for client requirements.
• Liaise with internal and external customers to manage RFIs, TQs, and design changes as needed.
• Support project management during vendor calls, on-site delivery, and commissioning activities.
