Job summary

Flextronics - The Flex Company in Dundalk, Ireland, seeks an Electrical Design Engineer to design electrical switchgear and power distribution products. You will prepare general arrangements and schematics, generate BOMs and documentation, and maintain records.

You’ll support internal and external customers and collaborate with multiple disciplines throughout the product lifecycle. The role requires a third-level Electrical Engineering qualification or related background, with familiarity in

Qualifications

• Third level qualification in Electrical Engineering or related background.
• Relevant experience in a switchgear production environment will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Solid understanding of electricity fundamentals and electrical circuit design.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision of senior engineers, design electrical switchgear and power distribution products.
• Create general arrangements and electrical schematics using AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical.
• Generate bills of materials and supporting documentation such as work instructions.
• Maintain up-to-date records of designs and documentation.
• Provide technical support to internal and external customers; attend meetings as needed.
• Collaborate with engineering team to foster a positive work environment.
