Role
A Safety, Health, Environmental & Quality (SHEQ) position is available in a leading Hazardous Transport & Logistics company. The role will allow the candidate to develop their Health & Safety knowledge in the following transport and logistics sectors:
- ADR – Road Tankers & Tank Containers
- Petroleum Industry – Aviation & Retail
- Emergency Response
- Chemical Handling
The candidate must have experience with the relevant Health, Safety & Welfare Act 2005 & 2007 General Application Regulations and experience with relevant quality systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 22000) would be desired.
An understanding at any level of the following will have a distinct advantage: Hazardous Chemical awareness, ADR, COMAH (SEVESO), Auditing & TPED.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting site inspections
- Assisting in risk assessments
- Supporting management in compliance efforts
- Help maintain performance reports
- Assist with accident investigations
- Ensure adherence to SHEQ standards
- Participate in audits
- Monitor PPE usage
- Track company’s CO2 footprint
- Provide support in and deliver training initiatives
- Involvement in emergency response exercises
- To report on any quality or safety risks, concerns, or opportunities for improvement to their supervisor or management
- Coordinate the company-wide Health & Safety Committees
- Any other ad-hoc duties, as required by Management

Skills and Qualifications
- The successful candidate will have a certificate, diploma or degree in the field of Health and Safety or 5+ years relevant experience in the field
- The successful candidate will have experience in quality systems such as ISO9001, ISO14001 & ISO22000 would be an advantage
- The successful candidate will have previous experience in auditing
- The successful candidate will have fluency in written and spoken English
- Emergency/Incident response experience an advantage
- Previous experience in the Transport & Logistics industry a distinct advantage
