Job summary

Apleona seeks an experienced EHS Manager to lead Environment, Health & Safety performance for our integrated facilities management operation across Ireland. You will oversee a team, set objectives, and drive a robust EHS program across multiple sites including Cruiserath, Dublin Plaza and Shannon.

You will lead incident investigations, ensure legal compliance, and align with GMP/GxP requirements while embedding a strong safety culture and continuous improvement across the organization.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years' EHS experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role within a regulated industrial, pharmaceutical, life sciences or manufacturing environment.
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering or related discipline.
• Facilities Management experience and GMP/GxP environment experience is desirable.
• Demonstrated experience leading and developing EHS professionals.
• Strong knowledge of Irish health and safety legislation.
• Experience managing contractors within complex operational environments
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
• Strong analytical, investigation and report-writing capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of EHS professionals supporting operations across Ireland sites.
• Establish objectives, priorities and development plans for direct reports.
• Foster a proactive safety culture across all locations and provide EHS guidance to management teams.
• Develop and implement the Ireland EHS strategy aligned with objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement and monitor regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Lead EHS programmes, campaigns and operational risk reduction initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with Irish H&S legislation, environmental requirements and client/apleona policies.
• Maintain oversight of legal registers and ensure actions from changes are implemented.
• Monitor audits and support regulatory inspections, client audits and internal reviews.
• Lead investigations into significant incidents and CAPA closures across sites.
