Job summary

RECRUITERS is seeking an Health, Safety & Environmental Advisor for Dublin-based projects within the construction sector. You will safeguard on-site teams, implement best practices, and ensure regulatory compliance across multiple sites.

Key duties include conducting audits, developing risk assessments, delivering toolbox talks, and investigating incidents to drive continuous safety improvements in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in EHS within construction.
• NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of EHS legislation and risk assessment techniques.
• Proficient in incident investigation and safety audits.
• Membership of IOSH, IIRSM, or similar bodies.
• Experience with ISO 45001 or ISO 14001 systems.
• Ability to lead safety training programmes.
• Practical knowledge of environmental management practices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular site audits and inspections to ensure safety and environmental standards are met.
• Develop and refine risk assessments and method statements to minimise hazards.
• Deliver training sessions and toolbox talks to promote safety awareness among personnel and subcontractors.
• Investigate incidents, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions.
• Manage safety signage, PPE, and emergency procedures on site.
• Support enforcement of safety policies and environmental initiatives, such as waste management and pollution control.
• Maintain comprehensive HSE documentation to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Act as the main contact during site inspections by regulatory bodies.
• Collaborate with project teams to implement site-specific safety plans and continuous improvement measures.
