Job summary

Sanderson is seeking an EHS Advisor in Dublin with some European travel to promote safety culture across data centre construction projects. You will implement H&S management systems, ensure regulatory compliance, and support safe delivery of large-scale works.

The role requires a relevant EHS qualification, at least three years in construction EHS, and strong stakeholder management. Data centre experience is highly desirable; you will train teams and drive audits.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of EHS legislation and best practice.

Responsibilities

  • Support implementation and maintenance of Environmental, H&S management systems.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health and safety legislation.
  • Assist with method statements, risk assessments and permits to work.
  • Conduct site inspections and audits with corrective actions.
  • Monitor safety performance and report indicators.
  • Promote best practice in EHS across the project.
  • Support investigations and timely reporting.
  • Provide EHS guidance to management, staff and subcontractors.
  • Deliver site inductions and safety training.
  • Manage hazardous substances and COSHH compliance.
  • Maintain welfare, hygiene and PPE on site.
  • Maintain records of inspections, audits, training and compliance.
  • Support waste reduction and recycling initiatives.
  • Liaise with stakeholders on EHS matters.

EHS Advisor - Dublin (with some European travel)

An excellent opportunity to join a high profile project environment working across complex construction activities within the data centre sector. You will play a key role in promoting a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with environmental, H&S requirements, and support the safe delivery of large-scale construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of project Environmental, H&S management systems.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental, health and safety legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with the development and review of method statements, risk assessments, permits to work and safe systems of work.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits, documenting findings and driving corrective actions.
  • Monitor project safety performance and report on key safety indicators.
  • Promote best practice in environmental, H&S across the project.
  • Support accident and incident investigations and ensure timely reporting and follow up actions.
  • Provide EHS guidance and support to project management teams, employees and subcontractors.
  • Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks and ongoing safety training.
  • Manage hazardous substances and support COSHH compliance requirements.
  • Ensure welfare, hygiene and PPE requirements are maintained on site.
  • Maintain accurate records relating to inspections, audits, training and statutory compliance.
  • Support waste reduction and recycling initiatives in line with project requirements.
  • Liaise with relevant stakeholders on environmental, health and safety matters.
You will bring
  • Relevant Environmental, Health and Safety qualification.
  • Minimum three years' experience in a construction EHS role.
  • Previous experience working on large-scale construction projects.
  • Data centre construction experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental, health and safety legislation and best practice.
  • Experience conducting audits, inspections and incident investigations.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a project team.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and standard reporting tools.
