EHS Advisor - Dublin (with some European travel)
An excellent opportunity to join a high profile project environment working across complex construction activities within the data centre sector. You will play a key role in promoting a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with environmental, H&S requirements, and support the safe delivery of large-scale construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation and maintenance of project Environmental, H&S management systems.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental, health and safety legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with the development and review of method statements, risk assessments, permits to work and safe systems of work.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits, documenting findings and driving corrective actions.
- Monitor project safety performance and report on key safety indicators.
- Promote best practice in environmental, H&S across the project.
- Support accident and incident investigations and ensure timely reporting and follow up actions.
- Provide EHS guidance and support to project management teams, employees and subcontractors.
- Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks and ongoing safety training.
- Manage hazardous substances and support COSHH compliance requirements.
- Ensure welfare, hygiene and PPE requirements are maintained on site.
- Maintain accurate records relating to inspections, audits, training and statutory compliance.
- Support waste reduction and recycling initiatives in line with project requirements.
- Liaise with relevant stakeholders on environmental, health and safety matters.
You will bring
- Relevant Environmental, Health and Safety qualification.
- Minimum three years' experience in a construction EHS role.
- Previous experience working on large-scale construction projects.
- Data centre construction experience is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of environmental, health and safety legislation and best practice.
- Experience conducting audits, inspections and incident investigations.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a project team.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and standard reporting tools.
