Job summary

Busy Bees Nurseries in Ireland is seeking an experienced Early Years Educator for our Thornwood creche. This part-time role (afternoons, 25 hours per week during term-time) will become full-time during school holidays, offering variety and stability for families and staff alike.

You will join a supportive team, provide quality care and education for children, work with parents, and cooperate with inspectors. A genuine passion for early years and relevant childcare qualifications are essential.

Qualifications

• All applicants must hold QQI / FETAC Level 5 in Childcare / Early Years Education.
• Eligible to work full time in Ireland.
• Garda Vetting may be required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in themed days within the crèche when needed.
• Ensure the provision of a quality service to children and parents.
• Co-operate with TUSLA Early Years Inspectors.
• Work as part of a team and liaise with team members & team leaders.
• Develop new ideas and activities to encourage learning with children.
• Liaise with parents/guardians and keep them informed of their children's day.

Required Qualifications

• All applicants must have minimum QQI / FETAC Level 5 in Childcare / Early Years Education. All other qualifications must be recognised by the DCDE.
• All applicants must be eligible to work full time in Ireland.
• We are eager to find a candidate with a genuine passion towards Early Years. The perfect candidate would be hardworking, ambitious, creative and a real team player
• Additional experience and qualifications are highly desirable. Garda Vetting (and international police clearance if having lived outside of Ireland for more than 6 months) will also be required.
