Job summary

Busy Bees Nurseries in South Dublin is seeking experienced Early Years Educators to join our teams at Beacon Court, Cabinteely and Cherrywood. The role involves working with babies to after school children within a supportive creche environment. 40-hour full-time positions are available.

Candidates must hold QQI/FETAC Level 5 in Childcare or Early Years Education and be eligible to work in Ireland. Garda Vetting and police clearance may be required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the provision of a quality service to children and parents.

• Liaise with parents/guardians and keep them informed of their child’s day.
• Report concerns to the team leader/manager.
• Participate in themed days within the crèche as needed.
• Co-operate with TUSLA Early Years Inspectors.

Role Responsibilities

• To ensure the provision of a quality service to children and parents
• To work as part of a team and liaise with other team members & team leaders
• To come up with new ideas and activities to encourage learning with the children
• To liaise with parents/guardians of the children and keep them informed of their children’s day
• To report all areas of concern to the team leader/manager
• To participate in themed days within the crèche when needed
• To co-operate with TUSLA Early Years Inspectors

Working Hours

Full time position: 40 hours per week - Crèche opening hours are from 7.30am to 6.30pm, shifts are up to 8 hours in duration and will be confirmed by Management.

Required Qualifications

• All applicants must have minimum QQI / FETAC Level 5 in Childcare / Early Years Education. All other qualifications must be recognised by the DCDE.
• All applicants must be eligible to work full time in Ireland.

• Additional experience and qualifications are highly desirable. Garda Vetting (and international police clearance if having lived outside of Ireland for more than 6 months) will also be required.
