Kids Inc. is seeking a qualified Early Years Educator for a full-time, permanent role at Foley Street, Dublin 1. You will join a nationwide provider of Early Years and Afterschool care, supporting children’s learning through play in a safe, inclusive setting.

Based in a 9:30am–2:30pm daytime slot, you’ll help plan activities, observe progress, and build strong relationships with families and staff while ensuring regulatory standards are met. Garda Vetting will be required.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 in Early Childhood Care and Education (or DCEDIY-recognised equivalent).
• Fluent spoken and written English.
• Positive, reliable and professional attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a team.
• Willingness to learn and contribute to a positive workplace culture.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, caring, and engaging environment for all children.
• Support children's learning and development through play-based experiences.
• Observe children's interests and progress and plan activities accordingly.
• Support children's development across physical, emotional, social, cognitive, and language domains.
• Supervise meals and daily routines.

With over 25 years of experience in childcare, Kids Inc. is one of Ireland's leading providers of Early Years and Afterschool Care. We operate over 70 Breakfast and Afterschool Care programmes nationwide, alongside 5 Creche and Preschool services, supporting children and families across Ireland.

We are currently seeking a qualified Early Years Educator to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.

Working Hours

9:30am - 2:30pm, Monday to Friday

What You'll Be Doing

• Creating a safe, caring, and engaging environment for all children
• Supporting children's learning and development through play-based experiences
• Observing children's interests and development, documenting progress, and planning activities that build on their learning
• Supporting children's physical, emotional, social, cognitive, and language development
• Supervising and engaging with children during meals and daily routines
• Building positive relationships with children, parents, guardians, and colleagues
• Maintaining accurate observations and records in line with programme requirements
• Ensuring a clean, safe, and well-organised environment in accordance with company policies and relevant regulations

Essential Requirements

What We're Looking For

• QQI Level 5 in Early Childhood Care and Education, or a qualification recognised by the DCEDIY
• Fluent spoken and written English
• A positive, reliable, and professional attitude
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A genuine passion for working with young children
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Willingness to learn, develop, and contribute to a positive workplace culture

Desirable Skills

• Previous experience working in a Creche or Early Years setting
• First Aid training
• Manual Handling training
• Food Safety training
