Job summary

Honeywell in Ireland is seeking an Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer - Gas to join our team. You will be responsible for maintenance of Bio-Gas Grid Entry Units at client sites, performing servicing, planned preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting customer issues.

The role emphasizes safety, reliability and collaboration with clients, with on-site work, on-call rota, and opportunities for training and development within Honeywell's Industrial Automation portfolio.

Qualifications

• Maintenance and servicing of Grid Entry Units in bio-gas systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and fault investigation abilities.
• Experience with industrial controls and instrumentation in gas facilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage annual servicing, condition-based servicing and preventive maintenance.
• Test Grid Entry Units to ensure safety and operation before sign-off.
• Investigate faults and perform system analysis; carry out replacements as needed.
• Engage with clients to understand issues and propose improvements.
• Provide remote support as part of an on-call rota.

Job description

We have an opportunity for an Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer - Gas to join us at Honeywell, in Ireland, where you will be responsible for working on the maintenance of predominately Bio-Gas Grid Entry Unit at our client sites, servicing and planned preventative maintenance and troubleshooting/investigating customer issues.

• Manage the annual servicing of the facility including condition-based servicing & Planned Preventative Maintenance and submit full reports of the job
• Testing the Grid Entry Unit, ensuring they are safe and working well before signing off, provide hands-on training and knowledge to new users/operators
• Investigate issues to find any faults and system analysis – carry out any replacements as needed
• Engage with clients to understand issues make observations and suggest possible improvements and make recommendations
• Meet customers’ needs via remote support as part of an on-call rota
• Previous experience within industrial servicing or controls systems
• Solid analytical/problem solving skills and technical skills with a high level of attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills both verbally and written
• Gas industry experience or HND/HNC level qualifications, experience in the Biogas/Biomethane industries would be advantageous
• Good team player with a willingness to learn
