Job summary

Honeywell in Ireland is seeking an Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer - Gas to maintain Bio-Gas Grid Entry Units at client sites. You will service, perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and provide training to operators.

Responsibilities include testing equipment, fault diagnosis, and proposing improvements while coordinating with clients and providing remote support during on-call periods.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial servicing or controls systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Gas industry exposure or Biogas/Biomethane knowledge is advantageous.
• Team player with a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Manage annual servicing of the facility, including condition-based servicing and Preventive Maintenance with full reports.
• Test Grid Entry Unit for safety and operation; provide hands-on training to new users.
• Investigate faults and perform system analysis; carry out replacements as needed.
• Engage with clients to observe issues and suggest improvements and recommendations.
• Support customers via remote assistance as part of an on-call rota.

Job description

We have an opportunity for an Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer - Gas to join us at Honeywell, in Ireland, where you will be responsible for working on the maintenance of predominately Bio-Gas Grid Entry Unit at our client sites, servicing and planned preventative maintenance and troubleshooting/investigating customer issues.

Responsibilities

• Manage the annual servicing of the facility including condition-based servicing & Planned Preventative Maintenance and submit full reports of the job
• Testing the Grid Entry Unit, ensuring they are safe and working well before signing off, provide hands‑on training and knowledge to new users/operators
• Investigate issues to find any faults and system analysis – carry out any replacements as needed
• Engage with clients to understand issues make observations and suggest possible improvements and make recommendations
• Meet customers’ needs via remote support as part of an on‑call rota

Qualifications

• Previous experience within industrial servicing or controls systems
• Solid analytical/problem solving skills and technical skills with a high level of attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills both verbally and written
• Gas industry experience or HND/HNC level qualifications, experience in the Biogas/Biomethane industries would be advantageous
• Good team player with a willingness to learn
