Job summary

DHL Global Forwarding is seeking a Warehouse Operative based in Dublin. You will handle loading/offloading, labeling manifests, and daily warehouse duties. The role requires a forklift competency and ability to follow health and safety protocols and PPE rules.

Responsibilities include maintaining stock, completing documentation, and coordinating with yard staff to optimize trailer capacity. Prior experience in cross-docking and a Leaving Certificate are preferred.

Qualifications

• Leaving certificate is required.
• Fluent Counterbalance Forklift skills are necessary.
• External Counterbalance Forklift license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Takes part in daily cleaning functions and signs off check sheet.
• Maintains proactive communication with peers and superiors and informs of discrepancies or problems.
• Label Import / Export freight as required.
• Load & Offload domestic and international vehicles, mark manifests and notify discrepancies and damages.
• Complete warehouse-related documentation for operations.
• Ensure good housekeeping; bins are emptied daily.
• Coordinate loading of Road export vehicles for Saturdays and complete weekly inventories.
• Order, stock control and maintenance of warehouse supplies/equipment.
• Monitor day-to-day health & safety in the warehouse and highlight areas of concern.
• Facilitate customer & quality audits.
• In conjunction with Yardman, manage trailer capacity and lane control.
• Ensure all import/export manifests and trailer check sheets are printed for each load.
• Ensure papers and manifests are sent to operations team ASAP.
• Adhere to PPE policy and all safety guidelines.
