Job summary

Moriarty’s Super Valu Skerries is seeking a Duty Manager to join the store’s management team. The role is full-time, averaging 45 hours across 5 days in a 7-day schedule, including weekends and public holidays.

You will supervise up to 40 staff on duty and contribute to stock control, HACCP compliance and high standards of customer service in a busy 16,000 sq. ft. store focused on fresh foods and care for customers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a manager in a busy supermarket.
• HACCP trained and fluent in English.
• Strong organisational and people management skills.
• Experience with staff training and development.

Responsibilities

• Be part of the store’s management team and support the Senior Manager in day-to-day operations.
• Oversee a team on duty (up to 40, with 90–100 in total) and ensure customer service excellence.
• Handle stock ordering and control, HACCP duties and keyholder responsibilities.
• Ensure the store is prepared for opening daily with high standards across all departments.
