Job summary

Moriarty Group is seeking Shop Floor Sales Assistants for the Palmerstown store in Dublin 20. The roles are full-time, requiring 40 hours per week across 5 days, including weekends and public holidays.

You will provide service excellence, help with packing, ensure scanning at tills, and support HACCP duties while assisting in all areas of the store as needed. Ideal candidates are enthusiastic, quick learners with strong customer care and English-language skills, able to multitask and work well

Shop Floor Sales Assistant Opportunity at Moriarty’s Super Valu Palmerstown, Dublin 20.

The Moriarty Group, is an Irish owned company, involved in both the retail grocery and hotel industries. The company owns three large Super Valu, Stores in Balbriggan, Skerries and Palmerstown and two 4* hotels, the Courtyard Hotel, Leixlip, Co. Kildare and the Bracken Court Hotel in Balbriggan, Co. Dublin. The company currently employees 550 staff.

The Moriarty Group of Super Valu's are 3 of the largest Super Valu stores in the Dublin area. We are currently seeking to recruit Shop Floor Sales Assistants for our busy Palmerstown store.

The Role:

We have a number of full-time positions available. These positions will require the candidate to work 40 hours per week, 5 days over 7 to include weekends and public holidays.

Main Duties:

• Provide service excellence to our customers at all times.
• Packing of stock onto shelves.
• Ensuring that all products scan at the tills.
• HACCP Duties.
• Assisting in all areas of the store if and when needed.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working as a Shop Floor Sales Assistant in a busy grocery retail environment would be desirable but is not essential as full training can be given.
• Must be fluent in the English Language both written and spoken.
• Must be enthusiastic and a quick learner.
• Must be able to multi-task and be willing to help out where required in all areas of the store.
• Must have excellent customer care skills.
• Excellent communications skills.
• Must be able to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
• Must be available for midweek day shifts, early starts, late finishes and weekends.
