Job summary

The Ivy Dublin is seeking a Kitchen Porter to join our busy kitchen team. You will help maintain cleanliness and organisation, assist with basic food prep, and support overall kitchen efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

We welcome applicants with or without prior kitchen experience. You should be able to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods, and communicate well with the team. 20 hours minimum per week is guaranteed, with opportunities for more hours and staff benefits.

Qualifications

• No previous experience required, though kitchen experience is welcomed.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
• Good level of Health & Safety knowledge.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure kitchen cleanliness and sanitation of equipment and areas.
• Wash dishes, pots, pans and other kitchenware.
• Assist with deliveries and store supplies in designated areas.
• Dispose of waste in proper waste areas.
• Support with basic food preparation tasks as needed.
• Keep cleaning chemicals and supplies stocked (e.g., blue roll, sanitizer).

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our kitchen team as a Kitchen Porter. The Kitchen Porter will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen, assisting with basic food preparation tasks, and supporting the overall efficiency of kitchen operations.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas.
• Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchenware.
• Assist in receiving deliveries and storing supplies in designated areas.
• Empty rubbish bins and dispose of waste in designated waste areas.
• Support kitchen staff by performing basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling vegetables or portioning ingredients.
• Ensure chemicals and cleaning equipment are continuously stocked, i.e. blue roll & sanitizer.

Requirements:

• No previous experience is required, although experience in a kitchen environment is preferred.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
