Job summary

Sony Interactive Entertainment is seeking an Engineering Services Support Engineer for our Dublin office. You’ll own first- and second-line IT support, maintain development kits, and ensure the local environment runs smoothly while collaborating with the Bristol IT Team.

You’ll work hands-on with Windows 11, MacOS, Linux where possible, manage incidents in the service desk, and help improve IT processes across a growing team. Excellent communication and ownership are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a service desk, desktop support or IT support environment.
• Strong Windows 11 and MacOS troubleshooting skills.
• Interest in developing skills in DevOps tools and automation.
• Structured problem solving with evidence-based steps.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals and core technologies.
• Comfort with hardware and software aspects.
• Excellent communication and ownership of services supported.
• Self-driven, highly organized with prioritization skills.

Responsibilities

• Own first- and second-line support for Dublin colleagues, guiding issues to resolution.
• Support Windows 11 & Mac OS devices and applications, with Linux exposure possible.
• Manage incidents and requests in the service desk for clear resolutions.
• Set up equipment for new starters and maintain asset records.
• Build relationships with developers and translate complex issues into updates.
• Maintain development kits, track location and status, and firmware updates.
• Use SSH and diagnostic tools to investigate hardware and software issues.
• Utilize device management tools for patching and vulnerability remediation.
• Create and update process documentation and knowledge articles.
• Collaborate with Bristol team and escalate to Infrastructure as needed.
