Job summary

Sony Interactive Entertainment in Dublin is hiring an experienced Engineering Services Support Engineer to own and operate the local IT environment for our Dublin office, working closely with Bristol-based IT team.

You’ll handle first- and second-line support, manage development kits, asset records, and patch management, while building strong relations with developers and ensuring reliable operations across end-user computing, networking and hardware.

Qualifications

• Experience in a service desk, desktop support or IT support environment.
• A genuine interest in developing skills in DevOps tools and automation.
• Structured problem-solving with evidence-based troubleshooting.
• Good understanding of networks and core networking technologies.
• Confident with hardware and software.
• Excellent communication, ownership and prioritisation skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the full range of first and second-line support for Dublin colleagues from initial contact to resolution.
• Support Windows and Mac devices; opportunities to grow Linux knowledge.
• Manage incidents and requests in the service desk with accurate ticketing.
• Set up equipment for new starters and manage asset records.
• Maintain and organise development kits and track their status.
• Create and update process docs and knowledge articles in Confluence.
• Escalate third-line issues to Bristol Infrastructure team when needed.
