Job summary

The Ivy Asia in Dublin is seeking a passionate Commis Chef to work under the guidance of our prep team and senior staff. You will contribute to daily par levels and help deliver high-quality Asian-inspired dishes in a fast-paced setting.

You should have previous commis chef experience or similar kitchen role, plus a good eye for food safety and teamwork. This is a great entry point into the Ivy Collection, offering career development and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Commis Chef or similar role in a professional kitchen environment.

• Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to recipes.
• Set up and stock their assigned section with necessary supplies and ingredients.
• Collaborate closely with prep chefs to monitor inventory and ensure correct daily par levels.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas, adhering to food safety.
• Follow instructions from the Senior Management to ensure consistency and quality in every dish.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Job Description

The Commis Chef will be work on a specific section, working closely with our dedicated prep team to ensure that daily par levels are met.

Working in a large team requires you to work well under pressure and be able to easily take direction from senior staff.
