Job summary

Primark is seeking a DLP Analyst to join our technology security team in Ireland. You’ll monitor and respond to DLP alerts, investigate risks, and coordinate with Service Desk and other teams to ensure compliant remediation of incidents while maintaining accurate records.

The role also involves producing risk reports and collaborating with Security, IT, and Data Governance to drive improvements in data protection processes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in DLP operations, incident management, or information security.
• Solid understanding of DLP tools and data classification.
• Knowledge of discovery technologies and Collibra is advantageous.
• Experience with data transfers, email security, and endpoint controls.
• Strong regulatory and compliance awareness.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to DLP alerts, conducting investigations to assess risk, impact and remediation actions.
• Coordinate with Service Desk and support teams to review, justify, and unblock restricted emails or uploads while ensuring compliance.
• Maintain accurate records of DLP events with tracking, auditability and timely documentation of incidents.
• Produce regular reporting on DLP incidents, trends and risk exposure; engage with stakeholders to support resolution.
• Collaborate with Security, IT and Data Governance; act as liaison between Operations, Policy Owners and Platform Owners.
• Analyze trends to recommend improvements, support policy tuning, enhance data classification, and drive data protection improvements.

• Produced regular reporting on DLP incidents, trends, and risk exposure, engaging with business stakeholders to support effective resolution.
• Collaborated with cross-functional teams including Security, IT, and Data Governance, acting as a key liaison between Operations, Policy Owners, and Platform Owners.
• Analysed trends and recurring issues to recommend improvements, support policy tuning, enhance data classification initiatives, and drive continuous improvement in data protection processes.

• Proven experience in DLP operations, incident management, or information security, with strong analytical and investigative capabilities to assess and resolve data security events.
• Solid understanding of DLP tools, data classification frameworks, and discovery technologies, with experience in platforms such as Collibra considered advantageous.
• In-depth knowledge of structured and unstructured data protection challenges, including risks associated with data transfers, email security, and endpoint controls.
• Strong technical awareness of DLP policies, enforcement mechanisms, enterprise IT environments, and ticketing systems, alongside compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively across Operations, Support, and Governance teams.
• Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage high-volume workloads (up to 40 hours/week) across investigations, incident coordination, and business enablement, ensuring thorough documentation and auditability.
