Job summary

Primark Stores Limited is seeking a Project Manager D&A for an 18‑month fixed term contract. You will drive end-to-end delivery of data and analytics initiatives, manage multi‑million‑pound budgets, and lead cross‑functional teams across business and technology, ensuring governance and timely delivery.

You’ll partner with stakeholders to align on scope, risks and benefits, while guiding data platform projects, migrations, and analytics with cloud tools such as Databricks, Snowflake and Power BI.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years delivering complex technology projects, especially in Data & Analytics, with strong stakeholder and communication skills.
• Deep D&A expertise including data platforms, migrations, modelling, governance and analytics.
• Exposure to cloud tech such as Databricks, Snowflake and Power BI.
• Experience across Agile, Waterfall and hybrid delivery models.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of D&A technology components, aligning to project objectives.
• Oversee multi-million pound project budgets (£2m–£6m) with forecasting and cost control.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans covering scope, timelines, risks, resources and dependencies.
• Direct and motivate cross-functional teams, ensuring quality and strong stakeholder relationships.
• Provide regular stakeholder reporting on progress, risks and mitigations.

What You’ll Do as a Project Manager D&A

• Lead end‑to‑end delivery of D&A technology components—including data products, platform enhancements, integrations, and analytics—while aligning to strategic project objectives.
• Oversee multimillion‑pound project budgets (£2m–£6m), ensuring accurate forecasting, cost control, and timely variance management.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans covering scope, deliverables, timelines, risks, issues, dependencies, and resource needs, ensuring adherence to Primark’s governance and technical standards.
• Direct and motivate cross‑functional teams, clarifying roles, ensuring quality assurance of deliverables, and building strong working relationships across business, tech, and supplier groups.
• Provide regular stakeholder reporting, highlighting progress, risks, mitigations, and insights to influence decision‑making and maintain delivery momentum.
• Manage external vendors and internal stakeholders, negotiate contracts, track KPIs and benefits realisation, and coach team members to support their professional growth.

What You’ll Bring

• Bring 5+ years’ experience delivering complex technology projects—particularly within Data & Analytics across defined scope, timelines, budgets, and quality standards, with strong stakeholder and communication skills.
• Demonstrate deep D&A expertise, including data platforms, migrations, modelling, governance, and analytics, with hands‑on exposure to cloud technologies such as Databricks, Snowflake, and Power BI.
• Apply solid understanding of data architecture, operating models, and retail data domains (product, customer, inventory, pricing, forecasting, etc.) to guide effective technology delivery.
• Operate confidently across Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery models, driving governance, sprint planning, backlog management, and acceptance criteria for data products.
• Manage multiple workstreams in parallel while building relationships with senior stakeholders, vendors, and cross‑functional teams within a complex matrix environment.
