Job summary

The Talbot Group in Ireland is seeking a compassionate Disability Support Specialist to help residents live fulfilling, independent lives. Working closely with the Person In-Charge and multidisciplinary teams, you will provide high-quality, person-centred support while guiding frontline staff to deliver the best possible care.

• QQI Level 6 qualification in Social Care or related discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as Direct Support Worker or similar.

Key Responsibilities

• Support, guide, and mentor frontline staff, leading by example and promoting best practice.


• Assist with medication support, key-working responsibilities, care planning, and the implementation of clinical and support strategies.


• Build positive relationships with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support individual outcomes.


• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.

Essential Requirements

• QQI Level 6 (or higher) qualification in Social Care, Healthcare, or a related discipline.


• Minimum of 2 years\' experience working as a Direct Support Worker or in a similar role.


• Full Irish driving licence.


• Irish, EU, or EEA passport.


• Strong communication skills with a proactive, compassionate, and person-centred approach.
