Job summary

The Talbot Group is seeking a compassionate Disability Support Specialist in Ireland to help residents live independently. You will work with the Person In-Charge and multidisciplinary teams to provide person-centred support, promote inclusion, and guide frontline staff to deliver high-quality care.

Applicants should hold a QQI Level 6 in Social Care or related field, have at least 2 years' experience as a Direct Support Worker, hold a full Irish driving licence, and possess a current passport

Qualifications

• QQI Level 6 qualification in Social Care, Healthcare, or related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Direct Support Worker or in a similar role.
• Full Irish driving licence.
• Irish, EU, or EEA passport.
• Strong communication skills with a proactive, compassionate, and person-centred approach.

• Promote independence, inclusion, choice, and meaningful participation in daily activities.
• Support, guide, and mentor frontline staff, leading by example and promoting best practice.

• Build positive relationships with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support individual outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.
