Job summary

The Talbot Group seeks a capable Person in Charge (PIC) to oversee our disability service, manage staff, and uphold HIQA standards while ensuring residents receive person-centered care. The role emphasizes leadership, governance, and continuous service improvement in partnership with a multidisciplinary team.

You will support ongoing professional development, uphold care quality, and contribute to a positive work environment within a 40-hour week.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 7 Degree in Social Care or allied discipline.
• Minimum of three years in a management or supervisory role in health or social care.
• Qualification in health or social care management (minimum NFQ level 6).

Responsibilities

• Oversee the overall management of the service and staff.
• Ensure compliance with HIQA standards and Talbot Group policies.
• Report and respond to complaints in line with policies.
• Provide mentorship and leadership through supervision and team meetings.
• Coordinate and prioritise appointments with the multi-disciplinary team.
• Maintain high quality of life for residents via person-centred care plans and risk assessments.
