Job summary

KPMG Ireland is seeking an Associate Director / Director – Software Technology (R&D Incentives) to lead the technical delivery of R&D tax credit and grant funding projects for multinational and domestic clients from Dublin. You will work with software engineers, architects and tax professionals to shape technical reports and client solutions.

This hybrid role offers senior leadership, broad technology exposure across cloud, AI/ML, cybersecurity, and data platforms, and opportunities to manage

Qualifications

• A degree or postgraduate qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, software architecture or software technology leadership roles.
• Strong technical knowledge across areas such as cloud computing, distributed systems, AI/ML, enterprise software, cybersecurity, telecommunications, data platforms or embedded systems.

Responsibilities

• Leading technical engagements for multinational and indigenous clients.
• Working directly with software engineers, architects, engineering managers and technology leaders to develop understanding around how the R&D incentive criteria could apply to their complex development activities.
• Preparing and reviewing robust technical reports supporting client claims.
• Collaborating with other senior technical specialists to continually enhance our service offering.
• Effectively manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure successful delivery of projects.
