Job summary

KPMG Ireland is seeking an Associate Director/Director in Software Technology for our R&D Incentives Practice in Dublin. The role combines technical leadership with client-facing responsibilities to translate complex software work into eligible R&D tax credits and grants.

You will lead senior teams, review technical reports, and collaborate with clients to drive successful incentives projects while guiding delivery and growth of the software technology capability within the practice.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related technical discipline.
10+ years in software engineering, architecture or leadership roles.
Hands-on experience designing or overseeing complex software systems.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities

Lead technical engagements for multinational and indigenous clients.
Collaborate with engineers, architects and tech leads to map R&D incentive criteria to development activities.
Assess software projects against R&D incentive criteria and prepare robust technical reports.
Manage client relationships and act as trusted advisor to ensure outcomes.
Coach and develop technical consultants within the practice.
