AbbVie is seeking a Director for Process Engineering to lead a technically diverse team across development and manufacturing activities in support of pharmaceutical products. You will link development and operations, guide project execution, and ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards.

The role demands strategic leadership, strong collaboration with manufacturing, quality, and third-party partners, and a proven record of delivering complex capital projects and process

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical) required.
• 10+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience with at least 4+ years in management.
• Knowledge of AbbVie Engineering standards.
• Proven leadership and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Communicate and collaborate with internal and external partners to provide technical and business leadership.
• Direct a cross-functional staff to ensure CMC lifecycle activities meet standards on time, within budget and highest quality.
• Develop engineering objectives and strategies to advance the site and seek opportunities for optimization and cost reduction.
• Develop and communicate cost estimates, plans, timelines and contingency plans to achieve project and department objectives.
• Participate in capital planning and project execution to enhance manufacturing capabilities.
• Make final decisions related to project responsibilities.
• Represent AbbVie during audits to regulatory agencies with verbal or written information.
• Ensure all Engineering staff follow Health, Safety and Environmental practices and have resources available.
• Provide leadership, coaching, training, and mentoring to direct reports and secure needed resources.
