Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical) is required to provide technical expertise.
• 10+ years in pharmaceutical formulation with at least 4+ years in managerial experience.
• Knowledge of AbbVie Engineering standards.
• Demonstrated leadership and team building skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Proven track record of managing projects through to completion.
• Excellent communication skills with layers of management.

Responsibilities

• Communicates and collaborates with internal and external partners to provide technical and business leadership.
• Directs a cross-functional staff to ensure CMC lifecycle milestones meet standards.
• Develops engineering objectives and strategies for site improvement.
• Prepares cost estimates, plans, timelines and contingency plans.
• Participates in capital planning and project execution.
• Makes final decisions related to project responsibilities.
• Represent AbbVie during regulatory audits.
• Ensures Health, Safety and Environmental practices across the team.
• Provides leadership, coaching, training, and mentoring.
• Negotiates resources to meet project demands.
