Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical) is required.
10+ years in the pharmaceutical industry with formulation experience.
At least 4+ years of managerial experience.
Knowledge of AbbVie Engineering standards.
Demonstrated leadership and team building skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities.
Proven track record of managing projects through to completion.
Excellent communication skills with layers of management.

Responsibilities

Communicates with internal and external partners to provide technical and business leadership.
Directs a diverse cross-functional staff to ensure CMC lifecycle milestones are met on time and within budget.
Develops engineering objectives and strategies to optimize processes and reduce costs.
Prepares cost estimates, business plans, timelines and contingencies for projects.
Participates in capital planning and project execution to enhance manufacturing capabilities.
Makes final decisions related to project responsibilities.
Represents AbbVie in regulatory audits with active participation.
Ensures compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental guidelines across the team.
