Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical) required.
• 10+ years' experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with at least 4+ years of managerial experience.
• Knowledge of AbbVie Engineering standards.
• Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Proven track record of managing projects to completion.
• Excellent communication skills with multiple management layers.

Responsibilities

• Communicates and collaborates with internal and external partners to provide technical and business leadership in line with site goals.
• Directs a diversified staff to ensure CMC lifecycle activities are completed on time, within budget and to standards.
• Develops engineering objectives and strategies, seeking opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction.
• Develops cost estimates, business plans, timelines and contingency plans for projects.
• Participates in capital planning and execution to advance manufacturing capabilities.
• Makes final decisions related to project responsibilities.
• Represents AbbVie during audits by regulatory agencies and provides information as required.
• Leads, coaches, and mentors the engineering team and ensures resource availability.
