Job summary

Mastercard Inc. seeks a Director of Information Security Engineering to lead security design and governance for Core Payments.

You will guide security architecture, risk controls, and cloud deployment strategies across multiple programs, working with senior stakeholders to drive secure, scalable solutions. The role requires deep expertise in information security, cryptography, and secure software delivery, with a track record of shaping enterprise security strategy and standards.

Qualifications

Strong understanding of information security, risk and data privacy in digital commerce.
Broad awareness of security operations concepts across delivery lifecycle.
Experience providing security architecture guidance for web/mobile environments.
Knowledge of industry standards such as ISO27001, PCI-DSS, NIST SP800-53, COBIT.
Cryptography knowledge including encryption, hashing and TLS.

Responsibilities

Provide technical design and architecture advice to internal teams.
Develop security requirements and guidelines for repeatable processes.
Align security initiatives with Mastercard's risk tolerance across programs.
Collaborate with business owners, engineers and leadership.
Support strategy, standards, and architecture for security operations and health.
