Job summary

Mastercard is seeking a Director, Information Security Engineer to lead security engineering for Core Payments. You will provide design and architecture guidance, shaping controls across programs and platforms while balancing risk and business needs.

You will build relationships with business owners, engineers and leadership; define security requirements; contribute to strategy, standards, and architecture; and oversee secure delivery within a global enterprise.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of information security, risk and data privacy in digital commerce.
• Broad awareness of security operations across delivery lifecycle.
• Experience advising on security architecture for web-based environments.
• Knowledge of ISO27001, PCI-DSS, NIST SP800-53 and COBIT.
• Cryptography knowledge: encryption, hashing, key management, TLS.
• Experience with secure automated workflows and CI/CD.
• Strong enterprise security operations and integration knowledge.

• Provide technical design and architecture guidance to internal teams.
• Proactively find solutions aligned with business needs within Mastercard's risk tolerance.
• Cultivate relationships with internal stakeholders including business owners, end-users, customers, project managers, engineers and leadership.
• Leverage security expertise within security operations and technology.
• Define security requirements and guidelines for repeatable processes across global teams.
• Assist in strategy, standards, and architecture for security operations and programs health.
