Mastercard Inc. is seeking a Director of Information Security Engineering to join our core payments team.

This role focuses on cybersecurity governance, architecture, and policy, with a passion for secure digital commerce and scalable security solutions across multiple programs and platforms. The ideal candidate leads security design, collaborates with diverse stakeholders, and drives security strategy, standards, and architecture to ensure robust protection across Mastercard’s global

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of information security, risk and data privacy within digital commerce including integration of different security technologies.
• Demonstrate broad awareness of security operations concepts across delivery lifecycle.
• Experience advising security architecture for web-based environments and secure communications (mobile apps, web apps, web services).
• Knowledge of ISO27001, PCI-DSS, NIST SP800-53, COBIT.
• Experience with cryptography concepts such as encryption, hashing, key management, TLS.
• Experience with CI/CD security considerations and enterprise security operations.
• Strong knowledge of Security Operations and Integration in an enterprise environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical design and architecture advice to internal teams.
• Proactively find scalable solutions aligned with business needs within Mastercard’s risk tolerance.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders including business owners, end-users, customers, project managers, engineers, and leadership.
• Leverage security experience within security operations and technology.
• Define security requirements and guidelines to ensure repeatable processes across global teams.
• Assist in strategy, standards, and architecture for security operations and program health.
