Mastercard Inc. is seeking a Director of Information Security Engineering to lead security architecture and governance for Core Payments. The role focuses on security policies, scalable solutions, and cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders across the organization.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in information security, risk management, and cryptography, and will drive secure deployment practices within Mastercard's enterprise environment.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of information security, risk and data privacy within digital commerce.
• Broad awareness of security operations concepts across the delivery lifecycle.
• Experience providing security architecture for web-based environments (web/mobile/web services).
• Knowledge of ISO27001, PCI-DSS, NIST SP800-53, COBIT guidelines.
• Cryptography knowledge: encryption, hashing, key management, certificates, TLS.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical design and architecture advice to internal teams.
• Proactively find scalable security solutions within Mastercard's risk tolerance.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders (owners, end-users, customers, PMs, engineers, leadership).
• Leverage security experience within security operations and technology.
• Define security requirements and guidelines for repeatable processes across global teams.
• Assist in strategy, standards, and architecture for security program health.
