Job summary

Mastercard Inc. searches for a Director - Information Security Engineer to lead security architecture and governance for Core Payments. The role focuses on shaping technical direction, policy, and secure design across multiple programs while balancing risk tolerance.

The ideal candidate will collaborate with engineers, product teams and leadership to implement scalable controls, cloud security, encryption, and identity management within a complex enterprise.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of information security, risk and data privacy in digital commerce.
• Broad awareness of security operations across delivery lifecycle.
• Experience providing security architecture for web and mobile environments.
• Knowledge of ISO27001, PCI-DSS, NIST SP800-53, COBIT.
• Experience with cryptography: encryption, hashing, key management, TLS.
• Experience with CI/CD and security in automated workflows.
• Strong in Security Operations and Enterprise integration.

• Proactively find scalable solutions aligned with business risk tolerance.
• Cultivate relationships with stakeholders including business owners and leadership.
