Job summary

GCS Recruitment is seeking experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineers to join a global engineering organisation in Dublin. This hybrid role offers 2 days onsite and an 11-month PAYE contract to design, deploy and operate large-scale cloud platforms.

You will build, deploy and manage production workloads across AWS, Azure and GCP, automate processes with Python, and collaborate with teams across regions to improve reliability and performance for thousands of users worldwide.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on public cloud engineering experience.
• Strong AWS and/or Azure expertise.
• Experience designing and operating production infrastructure.
• Automation and scripting experience, preferably Python.

Build, Scale and Operate Cloud Infrastructure at Enterprise Scale

We're seeking experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineers to join a global engineering organisation responsible for designing, deploying and operating large-scale production infrastructure across public cloud environments.

This is a hands-on engineering role suited to candidates who enjoy building and improving cloud platforms rather than simply administering them. You'll work across complex production environments supporting services used by thousands of users and customers globally.

What You'll Be Doing

• Design, build and support large-scale cloud infrastructure solutions
• Deploy and manage production workloads across AWS, Azure and/or GCP
• Improve platform reliability, scalability and performance
• Automate operational processes and eliminate manual toil
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and production issues

What We're Looking For

Essential

• 3+ years' hands-on public cloud engineering experience
• Strong AWS and/or Azure expertise
• Experience designing and operating infrastructure in production environments
• Strong systems engineering background
• Experience supporting cloud services at scale
• Infrastructure automation and scripting experience
• Python development or automation skills
• Experience troubleshooting complex distributed systems

• GCP experience
• Kubernetes and containerisation
• Go or Rust development experience
• Experience supporting high-traffic or mission-critical platforms
