The Account Specialist will retain and grow an assigned portfolio of smaller business accounts, focusing on proactive customer engagement, renewals, cross-selling and increasing recurring revenue.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales, inside sales, account management or a commercially focused role.
• Proactive in retaining customers and growing relationships.
• Evidence of working towards sales targets and growth.

Responsibilities

• Convert referrals, inbound enquiries, and campaign leads into new customers.
• Own retain-and-grow plan for a portfolio of small business accounts.
• Lead discovery calls, prepare quotations, and close deals within pricing guidelines.
• Manage day-to-day sales opportunities from qualification to closing, coordinating with delivery teams.
• Build relationships with customer contacts and Viatel colleagues for a consistent experience.
• Identify upsell opportunities and coordinate with marketing on campaigns.
• Track renewals, retention risks, and account growth with reporting.
