Job summary

Vertiv in Burnfoot, Ireland, seeks a Digital Engineering Lead to drive Building Information Modelling (BIM) activities across projects, coordinating BIM & Design processes for data integrity and clash-free models.

The role leads a team of BIM coordinators, develops execution plans and standards, and ensures BIM deliverables align with project timelines. Collaboration with project managers and external partners is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead the BIM coordination efforts for multiple projects, collaborating closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the accurate representation of project data within the BIM environment.
• Coordinate busbar services within multidisciplinary BIM models to identify and resolve clashes, discrepancies, and potential conflicts in design and construction.
• Manage a team of BIM coordinators, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to ensure the successful execution of BIM-related tasks.
• Develop and implement BIM execution plans, standards, and protocols to ensure consistency and quality across projects.
• Oversee the creation, maintenance, and management of BIM models, including data integration, clash detection, and coordination of design and construction information.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure BIM deliverables align with project timelines and objectives.
• Conduct regular reviews of BIM models to identify and resolve clashes, discrepancies, and potential design issues.
• Conduct internal team reviews against set standards on model & drawings outputs so that they align with team standards and ready for manufacture & delivery
• Work closely with technology teams to evaluate, implement, and optimize BIM software, tools, and workflows.
• Provide training and support to project teams and stakeholders on BIM-related processes and technologies.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, advancements, and best practices in BIM and related technologies.
• Liaise with clients and external partners to address BIM-related inquiries and ensure alignment with project requirements.

• Project management skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
• Familiarity with construction and design processes.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external partners.
• Previous knowledge of busbar systems will be an advantage but not a requirement as specific training on our products and BIM Libraries will be delivered as part of the role.
