Job summary

E-Frontiers in Dublin is seeking a versatile Digital Designer & Content Operations Specialist to support government digital products. You will bridge design, content, and operations to deliver accessible, clear experiences and smooth day-to-day delivery across multiple services.

Collaborating with product, design, and engineering teams, you will translate complex information into user-friendly communications, maintain content libraries, and contribute to design systems and live service readiness.

Qualifications

  • Experience with content management systems (CMS).
  • Proficiency in Figma and design tooling.
  • Excellent plain-English writing and editing.
  • Strong understanding of accessibility and usability standards.
  • Experience supporting live digital products in a service delivery environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities across products.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration.
  • Experience in the Public Sector and agile environments.
  • Experience contributing to or working with a design system.
  • Ability to create video or visual content.
  • Familiarity with public sector or large-scale digital platforms.
  • Exposure to AI-enabled or conversational interfaces.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS.

Responsibilities

  • Provide design support across multiple digital products, ensuring alignment with the Government Design System.
  • Create user journeys, flows, page layouts, and visual assets.
  • Contribute to the development and adoption of design systems, guiding stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with service designers, developers, and product managers to deliver accessible, high-quality digital services.
  • Create, edit, and manage content within a CMS environment (e.g. Wagtail or similar).
  • Apply plain English principles to ensure content is clear and user-friendly.
  • Structure and optimise content for usability and accessibility.
  • Review and improve existing content in line with service design best practices.
  • Develop materials to support products transitioning into live service (visual guides, onboarding assets, videos).
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear communications.
  • Support go-live readiness with consistent messaging.
  • Maintain documentation and content libraries; help manage workflows between teams.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of internal processes and templates.

Overview

We are seeking a versatile Digital Designer & Content Operations Specialist to support a suite of high-impact government digital products.

This role sits at the intersection of design, content, and operations, supporting the transition of products into a DevOps model. You will work closely with product, design, and engineering teams to create clear, accessible digital experiences while ensuring smooth day-to-day operational delivery.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is design-led, detail-oriented, and passionate about simplifying complex information, with the ability to balance creative work with operational responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide design support across multiple digital products, ensuring alignment with the Government Design System
  • Create user-centred design outputs including user journeys, flows, page layouts, and visual assets
  • Contribute to the development and adoption of design systems, providing guidance to internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborate with service designers, developers, and product managers to deliver accessible, high-quality digital services
  • Create, edit, and manage content within a CMS environment (e.g. Wagtail or similar)
  • Apply plain English principles to ensure content is clear, inclusive, and user-friendly
  • Structure and optimise content for usability and accessibility
  • Review and improve existing content in line with service design best practices
  • Develop materials to support products transitioning into live service, including:
  • Visual guides and onboarding assets
  • Short instructional or promotional videos
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly communications
  • Support go-live readiness by ensuring consistent and accurate messaging
  • Maintain and update materials as products evolve (e.g. Digital Wallet and other government services)
  • Responding to support requests

Skills & Experience
  • Experience working with content management systems (CMS)
