Job summary

Crosscare Irish Diaspora Support Project in Dublin city centre is seeking a Social Policy and Communications Officer to lead policy development and communications for Irish citizens in diaspora. You will work in a small team, coordinating policy advocacy, research, and public engagement across digital and traditional media.

The role requires a degree in social sciences or equivalent, fluent English and experience in social policy or communications.

Qualifications

• Essential: Degree in social sciences or equivalent, fluent English, and experience in social policy or communications.
• Strong writing and editing skills for complex audiences and fora.
• Experience with media relations, digital communications and policy advocacy is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver policy initiatives relating to the Irish diaspora; prepare submissions and policy papers.
• Lead on communications goals across digital and traditional media; draft press materials.
• Maintain records of media activity and engagement; manage events and campaigns.
