Job summary

Sony Interactive Entertainment in Ireland is seeking a skilled software engineer to join the team that builds PlayStation development tools and video streaming technology. You will work with experienced colleagues to design and implement high-quality desktop UI features, participate in reviews, and help ensure robust, efficient software.

The role requires strong C# or C++ skills, experience with .NET, WPF or Avalonia, React, Git, and a passion for quality.

Qualifications

• BSc in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong C# and/or C++ skills gained in a commercial environment.
• Experience with .Net, WPF or Avalonia.
• Experience with React.
• Commercial experience in desktop UI design.
• Deep understanding concurrency and related design patterns.
• Familiar with software testing techniques and tools, writing unit tests.
• Confident in Git.

Responsibilities

• Analysis of customer requirements to produce maintainable designs.
• Develop and deliver work to schedule.
• Participate in code and documentation reviews.
• Provide estimates for tasks.
• Provide input to technical writers producing documentation.
• Work with support engineers on customer issues.
