EPS Group in Mallow, Co. Cork, is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to maintain a stable IT environment and deliver high-quality user support across desktops, laptops, printers and mobile devices.

You will troubleshoot hardware, software, network and email issues, and assist with device setup and deployment. Joining our IT team means collaborating closely with colleagues, communicating clearly, and keeping user journeys positive and professional.

Qualifications

• Good understanding of Windows 11 Pro and macOS.
• Experience with hardware installation, repair, and upgrades.
• Ability to support iOS and Android devices.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and email issues.
• Provide first and second line support to users.
• Manage user accounts and access (AD, Microsoft 365).
• Deploy updates and security software on devices.
• Log incidents via ticketing system and track resolutions.
• Support remote users with remote access tools.
• Provide telephony support for mobile and landlines.
• Document solutions and maintain IT asset inventories.

About the Role

We are seeking a Desktop Support Technician to join our IT Team in Mallow, Co. Cork. The successful candidate will contribute to maintaining a stable IT environment while delivering high-quality support while maintaining a positive and professional candidate journey at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Installing, encrypting, configuring, and maintaining desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices
• Troubleshooting hardware, software, network, and email issues
• Providing firstline and secondline technical support to users
• Managing user accounts, passwords, and access permissions (e.g., Active Directory, Microsoft 365)
• Setting up and deploying new devicesli>Installing updates, patches, and security software
• Logging and resolving incidents through a ticketing system
• Supporting remote users via remoteaccess tools
• Providing telephony support for both mobile and landline solutions
• Documenting solutions and maintaining IT asset inventories

Requirements

• Good understanding of Windows operating systems, primarily Windows 11 Pro, and macOS
• Knowledge of hardware and software installation, repair, and upgrades
• Ability to work with both iOS and Android devices
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• A proactive attitude towards learning and adapting to new technologies
