Job summary

Elk Recruitment in Cork is seeking a Design Project Manager to join a growing team based in Little Island. The role combines design, project leadership and client liaison within the cleanroom and datacentre fit-out sector, with hybrid working in Cork.

The ideal candidate will prepare CAD/Revit drawings, assess design feasibility and oversee manufacturing and installation documentation across project stages.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing design is beneficial.
• Experience with BIM is desirable but not essential.
• Previous client-facing role and project leadership.

Responsibilities

• Liaising with clients and updating on project progress.
• Preparing drawings using CAD, Revit and BIM.
• Creating high-quality technical drawings and plans from designs.
• Checking material/design feasibility for manufacturing and construction.
• Presenting working drawings for all project stages (tender, manufacture/construction, installation).
• Producing installation/manufacturing documentation aligned with procedures.

Your new role includes:

• Liaising with clients and keeping them up to date on projects.
• Preparing Drawings using CAD, Revit and BIM.
• Creating high-quality detailed technical drawings and plans based on designs supplied by architects and designers and making modifications to existing drawings.
• Checking feasibilities of materials and designs to ensure manufacturing and construction of the product is done smoothly and safely.
• Presenting working drawings for use in all stages of the project, tender, manufacture/construction and installation
• Producing installation and manufacturing documentation aligning with company procedures

Experience you need:

• A manufacturing design background is beneficial
• Previous experience client facing and leading projects
• Supervisory experience in a similar role
• Relevant Qualification
• Experience with BIM is desirable but not essential
