Job summary

Pivotal Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Design Manager to join a Dublin-based construction project. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will oversee technical and design management, coordinating multidisciplinary design teams and third‑party stakeholders to deliver the programme on time.

You will apply a methodical approach, strong organisational and communication skills, and ensure buildability, quality, health and safety, and commercial objectives are met.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree-level qualification in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• Experience in contracting/construction environments.
• Experience in design management and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Strong technical understanding of building construction and project delivery.
• Membership of a professional body is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for technical and design management of the building project.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams and third-party stakeholders.
• Liaise with architects, engineers, consultants and subcontractors.
• Monitor design activities to meet project deadlines.
• Ensure buildability, quality, programme and commercial objectives.
• Attend and contribute to design, technical and project meetings.
