Job summary

ICDS Group in Limerick is seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead design delivery for major residential developments. The role focuses on coordinating design from pre-construction to completion, across Ireland and the UK.

The successful candidate will oversee design teams, consultants and contractors, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery and compliance with building regulations and project standards. Based at their new headquarters in Limerick, there are strong progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in a Design Management role within construction.
• Strong experience on residential, housing or apartment developments.
• Relevant construction, engineering or architectural qualification.
• Strong technical understanding and ability to coordinate multidisciplinary design teams.
• Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders effectively.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the design process from pre-construction through to completion.
• Lead and coordinate design teams, consultants, contractors and other project stakeholders.
• Ensure designs are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
• Review and manage design information, drawings, specifications and technical submissions.
• Identify and resolve design issues throughout the project lifecycle.
• Work closely with the construction and commercial teams to ensure effective project delivery.
• Attend design and project meetings and provide regular progress updates to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with relevant building regulations, standards and project requirements.

We have an excellent opportunity for a Design Manager to join a leading property developer and main contractor, based from their new modern headquarters in Limerick.

The successful candidate will play a key role within the senior team, overseeing the design delivery of major new-build housing and apartment developments valued up to c. €20m, across Ireland and the UK.
