Job summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Design Manager (f/m/d) to support our projects in Dublin, Ireland, with their expertise. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work effectively in an international and multicultural environment.

Your responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary design activities throughout project delivery.
• Oversee the integration of engineering disciplines to ensure efficient and coordinated design development.
• Monitor design progress against project scope, programme, and budget.
• Facilitate communication between design teams, project teams, contractors, and clients.
• Support technical governance, design assurance, and risk management activities as well as design program, deliverables and change management.
• Ensure design deliverables meet project requirements, applicable standards, and client expectations.
• Coordinate design reviews, constructability assessments, and value engineering initiatives.
• Support procurement, construction, commissioning, and project handover activities where required.
• Contribute to project reporting and stakeholder engagement activities.

Your profile:

• Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Design Management, or a related discipline.
• Significant experience managing multidisciplinary design delivery, design program, deliverables and change management on infrastructure, transportation, rail, utilities, or major civil engineering projects.
• Knowledge of design management processes, requirements management and design assurance/approvals across the project lifecycle.
• Familiarity and experience with NEC contracts and collaborative delivery models.
• Strong programme, risk, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple disciplines and interfaces within complex projects.
• Excellent communication and leadership capabilities.
• Chartered status or membership of a relevant professional institution is advantageous, but not a must.
• Relevant HSE training or site safety certifications are beneficial but can be obtained following discussion with the employer.
