Job summary

Coffey is seeking a Design Coordinator to provide planning, design, and coordination support on Coffey projects in the water sector. You will liaise with design consultants, control design concepts for safe, on-time delivery, and help develop practical technical solutions for water and wastewater infrastructure upgrades.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree (Mechanical, Electrical or equivalent) or construction management or equivalent experience.
• Project management experience preferred.
• 2–5 years of experience, with water/wastewater industry experience preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Ability to work on multiple projects.
• Good communication and people skills.
• Full Irish/EU driver licence.
• Authorized to work in Ireland (Stamp 4 or Critical Skills Visa).

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the delivery of the design works package, ensuring clear responsibilities and QC procedures.
• Coordinate interfaces between internal and external design resources.
• Coordinate information between designers and other parties affected by design changes.
• Ensure the design meets the Employer’s requirements.
• Ensure compliance with Safety, Health and Welfare at Work regulations.
• Manage the design programme and budget, review hours charged, and report to Design/Project Managers.
• Ensure designers comply with Safety Regulations for build, operate and maintain.
• Support Design Manager and Project Manager; collaborate with project team to deliver robust technical solutions on site.
• Maintain communication and develop relationships with clients, stakeholders and customers.
